Viral Interactive Limited’s plan to relaunch the ninjacasino.se brand has been rejected by the Swedish Gaming Inspectorate.
As we reported in September last year, Viral Interactive Limited had made arrangements with Elec Games Limited for the marketing of the Ninja Casino brand in Sweden. Elec Games Limited has an agreement in place with SafeEnt Limited, which owns the Ninja Casino brand.
SafeEnt Limited, which is a subsidiary of Global Gaming, had its licenses revoked by the Gaming Inspection and Elec Games Limited has been convicted by the Patent and Market Court for the marketing of Ninja Casino.
The Swedish Gaming Inspectorate considers it highly inappropriate that Viral Interactive Limited has chosen a collaboration involving two other players, who have committed serious violations of the Swedish gaming legislation.
The Swedish Gaming Inspectorate also considers that the arrangement between the three companies entered by Viral Interactive Limited do not meet the gaming act requirements for an assignment agreement (gaming operations must be conducted under controlled and security-assured forms).
Tobias Fagerlund, CEO of Global Gaming, commented:
“It is noteworthy that the Gaming Inspectorate, after almost 5 months of deliberation, chooses to reject Viral Interactive’s application to add Ninjacasino.se. Viral Interactive cannot in any way be regarded as a party to the court proceedings currently in place between SafeEnt Ltd and the Games Inspectorate, nor can it be added to the marketing previously conducted by Elec Games.
“The Gaming Inspectorate’s decision to revoke SafeEnt’s license has not yet gained legal force and therefore cannot be used as an argument. It is obvious to me that there is a lot of prestige in the Gaming Inspectorate’s decision and that the Gaming Inspectorate continues to make questionable decisions which in our opinion lack clear support in the legislation.”
