SPORTS SPONSORSHIP AGENCY SUES LIVERPOOL FC FOR £1.1M OVER BETVICTOR DEAL
English Premier League leaders Liverpool FC are being sued by sports sponsorship agency Winlink for a reported GBP £1.1m.
According to SBC News the dispute, which is being heard at the High Court, involves Gibraltar-based bookmaker BetVictor’s £15m sponsorship of Liverpool’s training kit.
Winlink claims that it had been “heavily engaged over a number of years in securing a successful introduction,” and that led to BetVictor entering the £5m per year deal between the 2016/17 and 2018/19 seasons.
However, Liverpool FC are arguing that Winlink were not involved in securing the deal, and that it was the result of work by its former Head of Global Partnerships, Rafaella Valentino – who happens to be a friend of Andreas Meinrad, CEO of BetVictor.
Proceedings in the case began yesterday, with Winlinks represented by Andrew Sutcliffe QC, who pointed to the agency’s track record of securing bookmaker introductions for clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Inter Milan, and Juventus, and receiving commissions for such.
Representing Liverpool FC, Robert Anderson QC, argued that Winlink’s services played no part in securing the BetVictor deal.
The case is expected to last all week, with the final judgement being delivered, by Judge Mark Pelling QC, at a later date.
AYO.NEWS says:
It’s obviously not appropriate to comment on an ongoing case, but needless to say it could have big implications for the business model and viability of agencies like Winlink if it loses the case.

AYO.NEWS says:
Virtual sports have seen a huge increase in popularity during the COVID-19 crisis, which shut down most of the world’s real-life sports. With the pandemic still raging in some regions, especially South America, and the much-feared second wave now thought to be underway in Southeast Asia, virtual sports will be in demand for some time to come. The question is, will they retain their appeal when real sports resume?
In May Kiron’s virtual sports went live with Kindred’s Unibet, significantly expanding the supplier’s reach in core European markets.

In recent years, iGaming has been getting more and more popular. There is fierce competition not only between publishers, but also between affiliates.
In order for one company to stand out from the rest, they need to be very creative and to provide valuable, outstanding services. Today, we would like to talk about one of these iGaming companies called Oddspedia
Oddspedia is an international iGaming affiliate, and their main project focuses on sports and sport betting data – livescores, sport results, betting odds comparison and betting tools like sure bets finder, dropping odds and others.
Their leading project, Oddspedia.com, has received a product extension in the form of the Oddspedia Widgets. The website focuses on delivering fast live scores data and extensive odds comparison, which is now relayed to the subproduct targeted at publishers. The widgets aim to help webmasters improve user experience, provide useful information and monetize their traffic better.
An instrument to attract sports fans and grow revenue
The idea behind these widgets is to help webmasters all around the world improve their websites by providing real time sports and sports betting data to their users. It is a comprehensive solution which is ready to use, easy to integrate, and at the same time provides an additional option to monetizing traffic. This completely eliminates the hefty requirements, knowledge and expenses needed to develop in-house, which may be impossible for smaller webmasters. All feeds and data provided by the widgets can be implemented free of charge, which makes this compelling offering an excellent choice.
The widgets receive direct benefits of the parent Oddspedia.com website – providing wide sports coverage, a great portfolio of available bookmakers and quick data serving with almost real-time updates on live score and odds information. Webmasters can choose between more than 30 sports and hundreds of leagues in 5 different languages.
It seems clear that by utilizing Oddspedia Widgets, publishers can now easily offer valuable and entertaining information to their customers. But what kind of widgets are available exactly?
- Odds comparison widget: As the name suggests, the widget brings full-featured odds comparison. Make your users happy with the help of sport and betting data from more than 70 bookmakers, presented in a very clear, easy to understand way. This is a free tool that lets your users find the best possible odds to maximize their profits from betting.
- Match centre widget: Perfect solution If you want to provide live score and live betting information to your users for a specific match. A lot of different sports are available, and you can customize the information until it suits your needs. This widget is great for sharing the excitement of an important match with your users or fans, and you can create dedicated pages or sections in your site for that purpose.
Both of these widgets can be configured to blend seamlessly with the design of any website and webmasters have the opportunity to choose colours, types of data and sports that they want to display. They offer a modern and attractive design combined with clean and fast code. The widgets look good on all devices, resolutions and browsers and are fully responsive. It took us only a couple of minutes to set them up during testing. When you register and configure your widget, you can just grab the embedded code and paste it in your website or platform. There is also geo-targeting available, which can make things even more personalized and relevant for each user – which in turn further enhances the user experience.
With the help of the widget’s API, and Oddspedia’s data feeds, based on JSON/XML, you can even build whole pages dedicated to different sports and show the right information to your users. Effectively making your very own odds comparison service.
What can we expect from Oddspedia in the future?
Oddspedia’s team hinted that they are working on a new version of their website and we can expect more exciting things from their projects. They will continue developing their widgets, introducing a dropping odds and livescore widget and adding new features to existing ones.
Jeton Kodia, one of the founders of Oddspedia said:
“Oddspedia will continue to create the best possible user experience for betting customers. With our pre-match and live odds, we want to make sure that our users are getting the best possible odds on the market. Also, with all our other data, we want to satisfy sports fans in general. Our mission is to provide all the information a sports fan visiting our site might want and need, without mattering which country he is from or what kind of device he is using. We are constantly striving to be the ultimate resource of information for sport and betting fans.”
In conclusion, we can say that it seems like work never stops at the Oddspedia headquarters and their team is constantly working to provide the best possible services.
On the other hand, they are also trying to help webmasters by developing useful widgets for them, which can improve their websites, attract more users and even improve monetization.
If all this interests you and you want to find more information or even register and try these widgets, head out to widgets.oddspedia.com.

Athens-listed gambling technology and lottery systems supplier INTRALOT has announced it is supplying the Taiwanese operator with advanced content management system (CMS) INTRALOT Canvas, and an esports sportsbook.
According to INTRALOT, its Canvas CMS will allow TSLC, a long-standing customer, to rapidly build and configure a responsive HTML5 betting portal offering a full-featured betting experience, optimised for all screen sizes, with customised, personalised and rich betting content for all online players.
INTRALOT Canvas features embedded software tools, like personalisation, analytics, player engagement and marketing, along with a comprehensive set of betting-specific functionalities.

“We are pleased to successfully have integrated the new multi-tool CMS, INTRALOT Canvas, that will help us address operational efficiency and achieve a fast time-to-market response.
“In addition, the introduction of new eSports games in Taiwan will give us the opportunity to enter the fastest-growing eSports betting market and broaden our audience with players from different segments.”

“We are excited to see our long-standing partner in Taiwan TSLC, paving the way in gaming and keep growing. At INTRALOT, we capitalize on our technological expertise to meet the evolving market demand and help our customers offer steadily an elevated gaming entertainment to their players”.
AYO.NEWS says:
Considering the popularity and growth of esports in the Southeast Asian region, TSLC is a bit late to the scene – but better late than never! Of course, to stand any chance of gaining traction with esports fans, they will need to rapidly scale their offering beyond League of Legends.
Staying with Taiwanese esports, yesterday Riot Games announced Taiwan-based CTBC Bank as an official partner of the League of Legends Pacific Championship Series (PCS).

There are also plans to create at betting lounge outside Empower Field at Mile High, the Bronco’s home stadium.

AYO.NEWS says:
The COVID-19 crisis and global sports shutdown really put virtual sports on the radar for many people, and products like SOCCERBET, which use real video footage, have proven invaluable for operators looking to keep bettors engaged through the long months of lockdown.
Of course, with the very real threat of further waves of the pandemic, and more lockdowns, operators would probably do well to keep investing in improving their virtual offerings.
