LA-BASED ESPORTS & GAMING ADVISORY SUBNATION MAKES THREE KEY HIRES
Esports and gaming media and brand advisory company Subnation has announced three new executive hires.
Chris Mann, formerly with Ultimate Media Ventures, has been appointed COO; Carla Rizzo, formerly with Dolaher Events, has been appointed head of brand partnerships; and Alec Strasmore, formerly with FaZe Clan, has joined Subnation as head of influencer relations.
According to the Los Angeles-based company, Mann will be leading day-to-day operations with a focus on growing content initiatives and expanding product collaborations, while Rizzo will be creating and strengthening relationships with esports teams and major global brands. Meanwhile, Strasmore will be scouting talent and working on branded content and new programming.
Strasmore’s move from FaZe Clan to Subnation comes just a week after former FaZe Clan president Greg Selkoe announced he had ditched the organisation for XSET – a new gaming organisation founded by industry veterans and aiming to be a movement and force for change.
Subnation provides services for marketing and media platforms covering the esports and gaming lifestyle arena, and clients include ESL, L’Oreal, RAZER, Volkswagen, and Westwood One.
AYO.NEWS says:
Again we see the esports and gaming sectors thriving and continuing to invest in talent, even as much of the world’s traditional economy reels from the COVID-19 crisis. The extent to which the lifestyle aspect of gaming and esports is powering its growth shouldn’t be underestimated, and is illustrated perfectly by the success of companies like Subnation.
