BOSE NAMED HEADSET PARTNER OF LEAGUE OF LEGENDS GLOBAL ESPORTS EVENTS

Audio company Bose has been named official headset partner of all League of Legends esports global events.

The multi-year deal will see the North American audio brand, which is also launching its first headset designed specifically for gaming (the QuietComfort 35 II Gaming Headset), provide headsets for events including the upcoming World Championship in Shanghai, Mid-Season Invitational, and All-Star Event.

Bose headsets will be used by all players, camera talent, referees, and production crew. The company will also be releasing a series of content called “Sounds of The Game” – which will highlight how important sound is to League of Legends esports.

Commenting on the partnership Head of Global Esports Partnerships and Business Development at Riot Games, Naz Aletaha, said:

“Bose has been an industry leader in audio technology and innovation for decades, and we’re thrilled to partner with them to both level up the pro player experience across LoL Esports and our global events while also providing an even richer audio connection to our fans.”

While Head of Global Brand and Marketing Activation at Bose, Pat Lacriox, added:

“Bose is excited to enter the Esports space by supporting LoL Global Events and its competitors, while also introducing our first-ever gaming headset to the market. The relationship between Bose and Riot is a natural fit – both companies take pride in leading with technology and innovation, and putting the customer first.”

Bose joins Spotify and Cisco as new partners of LoL Esports. Mastercard, Louis Vuitton, Alienware, AXE, Red Bull, State Farm, Secretlab, and OPPO are also returning partners this year.

AYO.NEWS says:

Though Bose has previously dipped its toes into the esports world, sponsoring Boston Uprising in 2018, and the Madden NFL 19 Championship Series, sponsoring something as high profile as League of Legends global esports events, including the World Championship, and the release of its first dedicated gaming headset, clearly indicates the company is now firmly committed to the esports and video gaming space.
