ANTHONY “TOP DAWG” TIFFITH JOINS REKTGLOBAL’S OWNERSHIP TEAM
Global esports company and owner of Rogue and London Royal Ravens, ReKTGlobal, has welcomed Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith to its ownership team.
Tiffith is founder and CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment and has won multiple Grammy Awards and a Pulitzer Prize. He will join other high-profile celebrities on ReKTGlobal’s ownership team, including EDM sensations Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero, Billboard Award-winning band Imagine Dragons, acclaimed Latin music producer Tainy, Washington Football Team’s Landon Collins, NBA two-time reigning Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert, and tennis pro Fritz.
Commenting on the news co-founder of ReKTGlobal, Amish Shah, said:
“Anthony is a trailblazer in the music industry and an incredible addition to the ReKTGlobal ownership team.
“He has a strong business acumen, a propensity for finding and grooming hip hop’s biggest artists, and an understanding of how to balance artistic integrity, all while achieving massive commercial success.
“He even goes above and beyond for his community, like recently covering rent for over 300 L.A. families. That passion for both talent and community is something we really admire and respect, and we couldn’t be more honored to welcome him to the ReKTGlobal family as we continue to bridge the gap between the worlds of esports and entertainment.”
While Tiffith himself added:
“Esports is a hot industry and one I’ve wanted to break into for a long time, but until now, never found the right partner to make it worth it. ReKTGlobal was that game changer for me.
“Along with some of the most exciting teams in esports, ReKTGlobal’s vision, power and hustle is undeniable, and I know we’ll do great things together to take over the hip-hop and esports world.”
Tiffith is CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE), which he founded in 2004. It has since become one of the most influential independent labels in hip-hop and R&B, representing artists including Kendrick Lamar, SZA, ScHoolBoy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, SiR, Isaiah Rashad, and others.
As a minority stakeholder and strategic advisor to ReKTGlobal, Tiffith will explore opportunities for merch and apparel development, music collaborations, and branded partnerships.
Staying with ReKTGlobal, as previously reported, the company recently acquired New York-based agency Fearless Media.
