TRON Foundation has fallen in line with Japanese authorities and announced its support for the removal of gambling DApps from the country’s marketplaces.

The announcement came after pressure from Japanese regulators over the prevalence of TRX-backed gambling applications. TRON also urged developers to refrain from creating new gambling DApps for Japan.

In a statement, the TRON Foundation said it was committed to adhering to relevant local laws and regulations – something that, while welcomed by authorities, may get under the skin of crypto purists who still dream of an unregulated global market.
