LVP & TWITCH ANNOUNCE VALORANT GENESIS CUPS FOR SPAIN
Spanish esports tournament organiser and broadcaster LVP and streaming platform Twitch have announced the launch of the VALORANT Genesis Cups.
A series of five VALORANT tournaments, the Genesis Cups will feature a €20K prize pool and give Spanish teams and players the chance to compete in Riot Games’ new multiplayer tactical first-person shooter.
Running from October to December, the new tournaments will take place entirely online, and take the form of five stand alone events. Each event will feature eight teams – six invited, and two qualifying through ArenaGG-LVP’s competition platform.
Philips OneBlade and Domino’s have been confirmed as sponsors of the events.
LVP also runs competitions for League of Legends, CS:GO, Clash Royale, FreeFire, FIFA 20, Fortnite, and Teamfight Tactics, across Spain and Latin America. The company has so far notched up 38M spectators, 660 live broadcasts, and 570M social network interactions.
AYO.NEWS says:
It’s great to see LVP help build the fledgling VALORANT esports ecosystem, with localised competitions for Spain, and we’re sure they’ll prove very popular and turn into regular fixtures.
Staying with VALORANT esports, just last week Riot Games announced First Strike – the first official tournaments for the title.
