CLOUD9 & PUMA ADD GAMING FOOTWEAR TO LATEST LINE

North American esports organisation Cloud9 has expanded its partnership with German sportswear giant PUMA.

Cloud9’s latest line of PUMA apparel includes footwear silhouettes for the first time, featuring officially branded Future Rider, RS-X, and AGF (Active Gaming Footwear).

Apparently, the new footwear range has been designed to appeal to both casual and professional gamers, offering “comfort, support and grip engineered to adapt to different active gaming modes with its sock-like fit.”

The new collection will be available from 12 November via PUMA and Cloud9’s official websites, with selected items also available at amazon.com, Footlocker, and Pacsun.

Cloud9 first partnered with PUMA in January 2019 for an initial apparel line, and the collaboration was extended later in the year.

PUMA has been steadily increasing its involvement in the esports and gaming scene, also establishing partnerships with Australia-based ORDER and international organisation Gen.G.

Staying with Cloud9, the organisation recently signed all-female Valorant team MAJKL, to complement its existing roster.

AYO.NEWS says:

The very fact that PUMA has invested in developing gaming specific footwear shows just how big the market now is, and how seriously gamers take their sport. The expanded partnership also underlines how important merchandise now is for major esports organisations like Cloud9, as they strive to better monetise their assets.
