ESL GAMING AUSTRALIA OPENS NEW ESPORTS STUDIOS IN SYDNEY

ESL Gaming Australia has announced the opening of new esports broadcast studios in Western Sydney. 

The Austrian division of major international tournaments organiser ESL says the new studios will be used to broadcast its ESL ANZ Champs Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) competition. 

In addition to being suitable for facilitating remote broadcasts and small-scale shows, the new studios will also be available to assist with the production of larger global productions, like the ESL Pro League and ESL One, by patching in guests from around the world.  

The studios boast three spaces to cover a range of different broadcast requirements, and have been set up as follows:

1. A large, casual broadcast studio space including couch setups, video wall for analysis segments and studio ensuite room for additional live content.
2. An Audio-Visual heavy traditional esports broadcast studio, with a custom built commentary desk that can host up to three talent. 
3. A third flexible broadcasting space featuring adaptable digital branding to fit shows of all shapes and sizes.

Discussing the new studios Product Manager for ESL ANZ Champs, James Fletcher, said:

“Coming into 2021, we’ve been working on what is the biggest change to the league since its inception in 2015. We see the ANZ Champs as the place where all CS:GO and StarCraft 2 fans can come; whether it’s to watch their favourite teams compete, or simply take part in an interactive broadcast. We’re talking less of the stiff, ‘Sports Show’ vibe and more Twitch chat, memes, and content.”

ESL Gaming Australia has also revealed more details about the 2021 season of ESL ANZ Champs. Qualifiers for its CS:GO league are slated to start on 13 February, with the first matches of the season getting underway on 8 March – all of which will be broadcast from the new Sydney studios and viewable on Twitch.
