ALLIED ESPORTS ENTERTAINMENT DITCHES ELEMENT DEAL IN FAVOUR OF BALLY’S $100M OFFER

Allied Esports Entertainment has signaled it intends to terminate its prior agreement with Element Partners, and accept  a “superior” acquisition offer from casino operator Bally’s Corporation.

Allied’s current owner, China-based Ourgame International Holdings, had previously agreed to sell its poker business, and related assets including World Poker Tour, to Element Partners for $78.3M USD. The deal was expected to close on 30 March, subject to shareholder approval.

However, as previously reported, earlier this month US-based casino and racetrack owner Bally’s Corporation jumped in with an unsolicited offer of $100M for the acquisition of Allied Esports Entertainment – subject to the company terminating its agreement with Element. Bally’s proposal included a $10M reverse break-free, and also $3M to cover the termination fee should Allied break the agreement with Element.

Allied has now issued a statement saying: “The company notified Element that it intends to terminate their stock purchase agreement unless, prior to 5:00pm Pacific Time on 19 March 2021, the company and Element negotiate an amendment to their pending stock purchase agreement such that the Bally’s revised proposal no longer constitutes a superior proposal.

“There can be no assurance that the company will enter into a definitive agreement with Bally’s or consummate any transaction with Bally’s.”

AYO.NEWS says:

So, it looks like even Bally’s is about to get a piece of the esports pie, though obviously the poker element was probably the major pull for the corporation. Of course, the show isn’t over just yet, and there’s always the possibility Element Partners will counter with an improved offer. Interesting times for the team at Allied Esports Entertainment.

TVBET LAUNCHES 4 GAMES TAILORED TO ASIAN MARKETS

Published

on

Live games provider TVBET has announced the launch of four new games tailored to Asian markets.

Created specifically at the request of TVBET’s Asian partner, Supernowa, Andar Bahar, Teen Patti, 32 Cards, and 7Up 7Down have been integrated and are available on the operator’s site.

Though the new games will already be familiar to many in Asia, TVBET says it expects them to find popularity globally due to their novelty to many players.

For those not familiar with the games, TVBET provided a brief introduction to each:

  • Andar Bahar — a simple game with two special sections, ANDAR and BAHAR. First, the presenter draws a single card – the Joker – and places it in a specially designated space. She then draws additional cards one by one, placing them alternately into the ANDAR and BAHAR sections. The goal of the game is to find a card of the same value as the joker.
  • Teen Patti — this is played between two conditional players. After shuffling the deck, the presenter alternately deals three cards for each player. The object of the game is simply to collect a stronger hand than the opponent.

  • 32 Cards — this game is played with a non-standard deck of 32 cards – there are no cards from Ace to five. The game is played between four conditional players (Player 8, Player 9, Player 10, Player 11). The player’s number refers to that player’s individual starting point. After the shuffle, the presenter deals one card to each player. The value of this card is added to the initial number of points (8, 9, 10 or 11). The player who collects the most points wins.
  • 7UP 7DOWN — this game uses eight 52-card decks at the same time. The presenter carefully shuffles these eight decks together, after which they are placed in a shoe. The presenter then begins to draw cards. The aim is to guess which card will be drawn. Will it be a card with a value greater than seven, below seven or the seven card itself?

Staying with TVBET, earlier this month the company formed a new partnership with Pronet Gaming, adding 12 games to the platform provider’s portfolio.
