FERRARI UNVEILS 2021 ESPORTS SERIES PLANS

Legendary Italian sports car manufacturer Ferrari has announced its 2021 Esports Series will begin in April.

The 2021 Ferrari Esports Series aims to build on the success of last year’s inaugural season, which was supported by Hublot and Thrustmaster, and saw over 20,000 European drivers compete.

The series will use Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa, and four real-world Ferrari cars will be featured, including two exclusively available to drivers who register for the Series – the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo and the brand new Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo.

The winner of the series will win the opportunity to become an official esport racing driver and join the Ferrari Driver Academy Esports Team.

Four hotlap sessions will be used to decide who gets to drive in the qualification races, which are scheduled to run from 5 April until late July. The top 48 drivers will qualify for the main competition, which is set to run from late August until November.

The season will culminate with the top 24 drivers taking part in the Grand Final, scheduled for mid-December, featuring three races that will decide who becomes the 2021 Ferrari Esports Series Champion.

In addition to the racing, this year’s series will also feature various prize draw events throughout the season, and there will be an all-new Car Liver Contest, allowing design-minded Ferrari esports fans to submit liveries via a specially created website. The best liveries will be shared on Ferrari’s official social channels, with the most popular one being incorporated into the game and used during oficial races.

Registration is open to Europeans (including Brits) from March 16 at  the official website at www.ferrariesportsseries.gg.
