AGGREGATED MEDIA LAUNCHES ESPORTS & GAMING NETWORK “A8 ESPORTS”

Aggregated Media has announced the launch of A8 Esports, a new channel dedicated to gaming and esports.

The Los Angeles-based network is set to launch with OTT and linear partners across 13 countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines.

A8 Esports says it will be offering live coverage of esports tournaments and reruns of classic esports action, along with talk shows and a variety of other esports and gaming culture content.

Confirmed content partners including esports event organiser Super League Gaming, gaming media outlet Game Informer, and esports talk show network Preediction, talent agency Rumble Gaming and Wisdom Gaming Group

Regarding the launch, President and Founder of Aggregated Media, Erik Reynolds, said: “We formed this company because we saw a huge gap in content distribution in esports and games. By helping these creators, networks and other partners further monetise their content we can bring some additional stability to the esports content creator ecosystem that’s often too weighted in favour of a chosen few big names.”

AYO.NEWS says:

Is there really still a “huge gap in content distribution in esports and games” we wonder? It seems like there’s a new network or monetisation platform launching each month, and there are already some very well resourced networks out there, like VENN for example. Can A8 Esports really capture a large enough audience to enable it to effectively monetise content and keep creators happy? We’ll soon find out…
