ReKTGlobal, owner of professional global esports organisation Rogue, has welcomed yet another high-profile investor from the music industry to its team.
DJ Nicky Romero, a music mogul who is a major force in the modern electronic dance music industry, will be joining his friend and fellow global dance music sensation Steve Aoki on the ReKTGlobal board.
ReKTGlobal is truly bringing together the music and esports industries, with other notable investors including Billboard Award-winning group Imagine Dragons, accomplished Latin music producer Tainy, and music executive Lex Borrero (read more).
Discussing the news co-founder of ReKTGlobal, Amish Shah, said:

Romero is well-known for his breakthrough viral anthem “Toulouse”, and “I Could Bet the One” (vs. Avicii), which also resulted in co-production credits on Rihanna’s “Right Now” and Britney Spears’ “It Should Be Easy”.
Those success led to Romero founding his own label, Protocol Recordings. Boasting more than 18 million combined followers across all social platforms, along with huge collaborations “Ring the Alarm” with David Guetta and “Distance” with Olivia Holt, and the 2019 summer anthem “Midnight Sun”, Romero will be help drive the growth and expansion of ReKTGlobal and Rogue through strategic integrations and partnerships.
Romero will also be co-hosting livestreams and delivering fan content alongside Rogue players.
