A strategic partnership between the Czech Esports Association (CAeS), Slovak Esports Association (SaeS), Polish Esports Association (ESA), and Hungarian Esports Federation (HUNESZ), the Visegrád Four countries announced the alliance at the V2 Future Sports Conference 2019.
According to the announcement, the four member organisations will cooperate to develop “operational and competitive systems” to demonstrate best practice for other countries in the European Esports Federation, helping to develop and encourage esports in the region.
An annual esports league, based on a set of rules jointly formulated by the member organisations, will also be launched, host in the Visegrád Four nations.

With North America, Western Europe, Australasia and Asia stealing most of the esports limelight, its easy to forget that other countries also have fledgling esports industries. Hopefully this kind of cross-border cooperation will help them access more resources and get the attention they deserve.
