MALTA AI & BLOCKCHAIN SUMMIT: ZBX CRYPTO EXCHANGE PARTNERS WITH DUKASCOPY BANK

ZBX, the Malta-based crypto exchange that also offers bank accounts, has announced a partnership with Dukascopy Bank SA.

The partnership with the Swiss bank, which was announced at the ongoing Malta AI & Blockchain Summit, means that ZBX users can now open top tier bank accounts in 23 different currencies.

Thanks to the Dukascopy partnership, ZBX Exchange now effectively offers a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all cryptocurrency and banking needs. The company says that trading pairs initially supported against the EURO will be Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), with additional pairs expected to be added over the coming weeks.

The company has pointed out that, by offering pairs against the EURO, investors will have access to a useful alternative to the US Dollar, which is increasingly being shunned by investors due to geopolitical tensions.

The partnership will see fiat assets held at Dukascopy Bank, while cryptocurrency assets will be held under the infrastructure of ZBX.

Commenting on the news, Dave Pulis, CEO of ZBX said: “The collaboration brings together the best of both worlds, the premium banking services of a top tier Swiss Bank and the trading of digital assets by ZBX, operating on the blockchain Island, Malta”.

While Dukascopy CEO, Dr Andre Duka, added: “We are pleased to welcome ZBX and its professional team as the new partner and the member of our novel financial ecosystem that pairs traditional banking with crypto-related services.

“In recent years, Dukascopy Bank has made substantial investments into developing a new model of cooperation with the crypto industry and now it starts to pay back with positive outcomes. Our clients and the clients of ZBX will certainly appreciate the opportunity to invest in global crypto markets while ensuring the safety of their fiat funds to a reputable Swiss Bank”.
