PAYMENTS PROVIDER NEOSURF SPONSORS AUSTRALIA’S ESPORTS HIGH PERFORMANCE CENTRE

Online payments provider Neosurf has been announced as new sponsor of the four esports teams operating within the Esports High Performance Centre (EHPC), Sydney, Australia.

Dire Wolves, N8 Esports, Team Oracle and Supa-Stellar will all benefit from the multi-year deal with Neosurf. The agreement will see all ecommerce elements within the EHPC itself and the four associated teams, including merchandise, memberships and training courses, integrate Neosurf as a payment option.

Co-activations, including scholarships, bootcamps, online coaching and events, are also planned with all four teams, as part of an effort to show that non-endemic brands can successfully integrate into the esports space.

Discussing the news CEO of Esports High Performance Centre, Gareth Jones, said:

“For a brand to become integrated into the esports community there needs to be a dedication to understanding the audience and developing activations that deliver on their needs and motivations. The team at Neosurf are awesome to work with and fully appreciate that simply putting their brand on our shirts is not enough to achieve our goal.”

While Director of Partnerships at Neosurf, Antoine Metivier, added:

“Providing value to the end user is our aim at Neosurf in everything we do whether it is through our payment products or our partnerships and initiatives.

“The team at the EHPC is the perfect partner as we enter into the esports space because they operate across multiple esports and, importantly, have a deep level of understanding of the different fans and how brands can add value rather than simply try and extract value.”

AYO.NEWS says:

Another sponsorship deal that seems to make sense, giving Neosurf good multi-title reach as it makes its entry into the world of esports. From the EHPC’s and teams’ side of things, having a respected payment provider onboard could prove very practical.
