UBISOFT ENTRUSTS FACEIT WITH NORTH AMERICAN RAINBOW SIX ESPORTS

FACEIT and Ubisoft have signed a multi-year agreement covering North American Rainbow Six Siege esports.

The partnership covers design and control of the Rainbow Six Siege ecosystem in North America, and will see UK-based FACEIT work with the developer on everything from program design, production, brand and data integration and distribution, to grassroots initiatives and broadcasting and media rights.

FACEIT will be managing all Rainbow Six Siege events in North America, including the recently-unveiled Rainbow Six North American League, US Division LAN program, Rainbow Six Majors, and Challenger Leagues for both the US and Canada.

Discussing the partnership Senior Director of Esports at Ubisoft NCSA, Che Chou, said:

“When we set out to create the new Rainbow Six Siege North American League, we searched high and low for a partner that could hit the aspirational editorial and production quality we required for an offline league.

“FACEIT stood out as an obvious choice given their deep industry experience and impressive content portfolio. Combined with their robust tournament platform, FACEIT brings the complete package of production expertise and technology to elevate Rainbow Six esports to the next level in North America.”

While Co-founder and CVO of FACEIT, Michele Attisani, added:

“We are incredibly excited to partner with Ubisoft and to help develop the Rainbow Six Esports structure in North America. This full service partnership will see us merging all verticals of what FACEIT has to offer.

“Developing competitive ecosystems has always been a core objective of FACEIT as we recognize that this is vital for building sustainable esports programs. FACEIT has always focused on delivering entertaining content for fans and opportunities for players of all levels and this is exactly what we are looking to achieve for the Rainbow Six community.”

AYO.NEWS says:

Rainbow Six Siege is one of those titles that really hasn’t reached anywhere near its potential as an esport, and there’s a lot riding on the new North American League for Ubisoft, so FACEIT will be under a lot of pressure to deliver.
