WEPLAY ESPORTS GETS IN RING WITH OLEKSANDR USYK FOR LAUNCH OF FIGHTING DIVISION

WePlay Esports is teaming up with undisputed world cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, for the launch of a new fighting games division. 

The partnership was announced at the weekend by Ukraine-based WePlay Esports, and its managing partners Oleg Krot and Yura Lazebnikov, and will see a new division formed called the WePlay Ultimate Fighting League (WUFL). 

33-year-old Usyk is Ukranian by birth, and was undisputed cruiserweight champion from 2018 until 2019, holding the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles at the same time.

In an interview with WePlay Esports, Usyk said that he was a gamer as a child, playing Counter-Strike, Quake, Mortal Kombat, and Worms, and that his interest in esports grew after meeting Yura and the WePlay team.
