WWE DEBUTS SUPERSTAR GAMING SERIES SHOW

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has debuted its WWE Superstar Gaming Series competition show. 

Debuting earlier this week, the show streamed on the free version of the company’s pay TV service, WWE Network, and on its social media platforms. 

Taking part in the Among Us “Holiday Sus-Fest” and WWE 2K Battlegrounds “Holiday Throwdown” were Ronda Rousey, The Miz, Liv Morgan, Adam Cole, Tyler Breeze, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke, representing WWE and FaZe Adapt, Nick Eh 30, Lele Pons, Wale making appearances too.

The show was hosted by Greg Miller of “Kinda Funny Games,” along with special guest Xavier Woods.

WWE hasn’t elaborated on whether this was a one-off seasonal special, or the start of a regular series, but either way it’s fantastic to see yet another organisation from the traditional sports and entertainment world embrace gaming.

Staying with WWE and gaming, earlier this week, the company’s senior VP of programming and media operations, Craig Tello, revealed he is leaving to join Electronic Arts (EA) as head of marketing communications & content strategy, esports.
