MGA GAMES ESTABLISHES ACADEMY PROGRAM TO ATTRACT TALENT
Online casino content developer MGA Games has established the MGA Games Academy program, to help attract talent to the gaming sector and create its own pool of staff.
The Spanish company currently has a staff of 50, who devise, design, and develop the company’s games, which are distributed to popular online casinos in Spain and internationally.
It is hoped that by committing resources to train promising young online slot game developers, it will help young people receive the specialist training needed to forge a successful career in the field.
Regarding the initiative, an MGA Games spokesperson said:
“It’s about attracting and retaining talent, creating recruitment programs and training that appeal to young people. In fact, many students who already know the trajectory of MGA Games in online game design have in advance especially requested to join the company for their internships”.
The program currently has eight students – four graphic artists and four programmers.
AYO.NEWS says:
With young people facing an unprecedented economic crisis and uncertain future, the online gaming industry, as one of the few remaining growth industries, is no doubt becoming more attractive to young people.
However, with colleges and universities still shunning the gambling industry, acquiring the necessary skills can be challenging, so it’s great to MGA Games investing resources in this space. Of course, from MGA Games’ point-of-view, it’s also a win-win, because recruiting talented, experienced staff can be very difficult.
