BACK TO THE 90’S: ANTSTREAM ARCADE ADDS CLASSIC STAR WARS TITLES

Retro games platform Antstream Arcade has added classic Star Wars titles to its extensive library of fully-licensed games. 

It marks the first time the iconic titles, including the entire Super Star Wars series for the SNES and Star Wars for the NES, are available on a single platform. From today, Antstream subscribers can play the following titles:

• Super Star Wars (SNES, 1992) 
• Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (SNES, 1993) 
• Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (SNES, 1994)

Other games coming to the platform soon include adventure classics like Grim Fandango, and titles from the Monkey Island series.

All games available via Antstream’s cloud-based streaming service are available using any 4G or better connection, and playable on most devices including TVs, laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones, for a single flat monthly subscription. With the latest additions, the service offers 3,786 licensed games, with 5-7 new titles added each week.  

Discussing the news CEO of Antstream, Steve Cottam, said:

Antstream has recently announced collaborations with several retro gaming icons, including Taito, Atari, and Bandai-Namco, and the platform now offers the world’s biggest collection of retro games, from definitive classics to obscure curios. 

Additionally, many titles have new features like challenge models, tournaments, and international leaderboards, giving a distinctly contemporary social aspect to classic games.
