Tokyo Time was founded in 2018, with the aim of creating Japanese-inspired headwear. Since then the company has forged several high-profile sports partnerships, including with the British Basketball League, 24h Le Mans, and Italian motorsport team Prema.
The headwear company joins other newly announced Misfits Gaming Group partners like ASUS ROG, and MOUNTAIN.
Misfits Gaming operates teams in three major franchised esports leagues: Riot Games’ League of Legends European Championship (Misfits Gaming), Activision-Blizzard’s Overwatch League (Florida Mayhem), and Activision-Blizzard’s Call of Duty League (Florida Mutineers).
In 2019, MGG also launched a $10M incubator and seed fund MSF/IO, positioned to invest in the next generation of esports and gaming entrepreneurs.
AYO.NEWS says:
As major esports organisations rapidly evolve into broader lifestyle brands, collaborations like this are becoming increasingly common, and we expect to see that trend accelerate through 2021. For Tokyo Time, we’re sure working with a company with the huge reach of MGG will introduce the brand to a legion of new fans.
