XSET JOINS IRACING SERIES & SIGNS NASCAR’S ANTHONY ALFREDO AS CONTENT CREATOR

North American gaming organisation XSET has entered the 2021 Coca-Cola eNASCAR iRacing series.

Driving for XSET in Ford Mustangs will be top talent #4 Ryan Luza and #38 Casey Kirwan, while NASCAR driver Anthony Alfredo has also joined XSET’s roster of talent as a content creator.

Regarding the news XSET COO and co-founder, Marco Mereu, said:

“XSET is revved to be entering this unbelievably fast-growing community. XSET’s unique presence both in sim racing and NASCAR highlights our desire to connect cultures and build greatness. With the skills that Ryan, Casey, and Anthony possess, the sky’s the limit. From epic content to exciting driving and winning, XSET’s iRacing roster is poised to take over the sim driving world.”

Ryan Luza, also known as “Flyinryan,” is one of the top two drivers in the Series overall. As a rookie, Luza had five wins in his first World Championship series, and added ten more over the past three years.

Last year, he garnered the most total wins and top five finishes- setting him up for what could be huge success in 2021. Casey Kirwan has one of the biggest followings in iRacing today. With more than 500 victories in his iRacing career and two in the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing series, Kirwan is one of the winningest sim drivers in the past few years.

Avid gamer Anthony Alfredo began his racing career as a sim driver and showed such ability that he began driving the real thing. He has driven for Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s JR Motorsports (JRM), and will compete in this year’s NASCAR Cup Series for Front Row Motorsports.

Looking forward to the series, NASCAR pro Anthony Alfredo said:

“I’m proud to join XSET and be part of innovating the esports industry with them. My roots are in gaming, which makes this opportunity special to me personally.

“I’m excited to grow my brand and presence in esports with XSET, and utilize my racing platform to connect esports and motorsports fan bases. iRacing has played a pivotal role in my real-life racing career, so this opportunity is very cool. I’m looking forward to the future and growing with XSET.”

While Ryan Luza added:

“I’m extremely excited to join XSET and represent them as they dive into the Coca-Cola iRacing Series and racing esports as a whole. The esports industry has been booming and I’m thankful for the opportunity to join XSET’s rapidly growing organization. I am hopeful this will be another successful year and I am excited to #reptheset at the front of the pack — week in and week out!”

And, Casey Kirwan said:

“I am super excited to join XSET for the 2021 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series season. The organization has already shown in their short time of existence what they are capable of.

“They have brought together the world’s best talent across the esports world, and to be a part of that is really special. I’m looking forward to growing with them this year and representing the brand and all of their great partners.”

AYO.NEWS says:

Out of all esports, perhaps none have made such dramatic inroads into the mainstream sporting world over the last year as sim racing. With drivers, teams, broadcasters and sponsors alike, all finding it relatively easy to attract real-world race fans to the digital world, we’ve seen the popularity of eNASCAR, F1 and others surge, and it’s fantastic to see a new organisation like XSET embrace that.

Staying with XSET, in late November, the organisation also hit the headlines when it signed all-female CS:GO team Originem – one of the most decorated all-women’s esports teams in history.

Want to find out more about the visionaries behind XSET? In November, AYO.NEWS’ very own Simona Pinterova caught up with Clinton Sparks – entrepreneur, investor, author, music producer, songwriter, multi-platinum DJ, and CBDO and Co-owner of the Boston-based esports and gaming organisation.
