INAUGURAL SKRMIISH CHALLENGER SERIES EVENT BIG HIT WITH TOP FORTNITE STREAMERS
Leading content creators have heaped praise on the new Skrmiish app following the inaugural Challenger Series event for Fortnite.
Ten popular streamers, including Reddysh, Vohlii, Cozy, Tyla, Electra and Higgsy were among the first to try Skrmiish – the new app that gives streamers a new way to engage their communities with fully managed leaderboard and tournament models for Fortnite and PUBG.
The inaugural Skrmiish Challenger Series took place over five days in January, with ten US and EU streamers helping to launch the app globally, and thousands of Fortnite fans from 26 countries competing for the $1K daily prize pools.
In total, more than 8,000 minutes of unique live Skrmiish matches were broadcast over the five days, with viewers seeing more than 1,000,000 minutes of Skrmiish viewer challenges as well as streamer vs streamer battles.
In addition to attracting a wave of new users to the app, over 50% of users played more than seven games – significantly beating initial expectations.
Giving their feedback on the event, Cozy said:
“It’s fun to play against other streamers but what I really get stoked about is getting to really interact with the community. What’s really cool about this app is that it’s live updating what’s happening in the game.”
While Electra, commented:
“I love the app. It’s so good. It makes everything so much easier.”
And, Olten added:
“It’s just different. We’re so used to doing the same thing. This gives us some fresh air. It’s a really simple process.”
Reflecting on the event Skrmiish CEO, Luke Grob, said:
“Launching a new technology product in the United States and Europe is no small feat, which is why I am immensely proud of what we have been able to achieve.
“With our growing player base we will be able to focus our efforts on bringing in new product features that offer all sorts of improved opportunities for streamers and players of all skill levels.
“Right now, we’re gearing up to announce something truly massive and can’t wait to share it with the world.”
