VELOCE TEAMS UP WITH NFT & BLOCKCHAIN GAMING FIRM ANIMOCA BRANDS

Esports and racing growth platform, Veloce, has announced a partnership with blockchain and NFT gaming company Animoca Brands.

The deal has seen Animoca Brands invest REVV, its branded motorsports utility token, into Veloce’s recently announced pre-IPO funding round. The partnership also spans Veloce’s esports operations, which includes over 10 teams, and 40 channels that attract 215 monthly views, along with unique racing leagues like Squadsprint.  

The partnership also covers sister company Veloce Racing — competing in the innovative electric racing Extreme E series — and in doing so, represents the first real-world global motorsport outfit to be partly funded by REVV tokens.

Staying with Veloce, last month the company strengthened its management team with new hires from the commercial side of motor racing, in the form of Guido Hakkenberg and James Robinson.
