UK-based startup, Semper Fortis Esports, has raised around £2.55M GBP (approx. €2.88M euro) during the first day listed on the Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE).

The Sheffield-based company says that gross proceeds were conducted at an issue price of 1p per share, and its resulting market capitalisation was valued at around £4.15M.

Behind Semper Fortis Esports are some influential names – former Football League Chairman Keith Harris; Atari founder, Nolan Bushnell; GIMA Group Inc. founder and CEO Kevin Soltani; co-founder and COO of GIMA Group Inc. Jassem Ossieran; and founder of DTK Capital Limited Max Deeley.

As previously reported, the company plans to form esports teams, ink commercial partnerships, and offer business-to-business advisory services in the esports space. The company has also said it will be looking to forge partnerships with professional footballers and influencers.

The company’s first esports team, three-man Top Blokes, has already been recruited and will be competing in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS)

AYO.NEWS says:

Well, as we said a few weeks ago, Semper Fortis Esports sure has ambitious plans, but it’s listing seems to have gone well, in line with its previously stated goal of raising £2.5M GBP.
