MALTA GAMING AUTHORITY CANCELS SMART OPERATIONS LIMITED’S LICENSE

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has revoked the B2C license of Smart Operations Limited.

According to the MGA, it cancelled the company’s licenses from 30 April, after it was found to be in breach of regulation 9 (1), and failed to discharge financial commitments and pay all amounts due in a timely manner.

Smart Operations is no longer authorised to carry out any gaming operations, register new players, or accept any new deposits under its MGA license. The company must, however, continue to provide all existing registered customers with access to their accounts. The company has also been ordered to make any necessary refunds to its customers.

In May, the MGA also gave Magic Services 20 days to explain why its license shouldn’t be cancelled, after being accused of breaching regulation 3 of the Gaming License Fees Regulation.
