NEW JERSEY REGULATOR HITS SG DIGITAL WITH $100K PENALTY FOR UNAPPROVED GAMES

Published

on

The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has hit Scientific Games’ SG Digital division with a $100K penalty for using untested and approved games.

SG Digital’s NYX Digital Gaming

SG Digital, which operates in the state as NYX Digital Gaming, was given the penalty on 18th November for “deploying three games that were not the versions tested and approved” by the DGE.

According to local press, the offending games had been made available to the public in late January 2019 via SG Digital’s online partners, and remained live until March. It seems SG Digital themselves discovered the mistake in an audit – something that no doubt assuaged the DGE’s stance.

SG Digital had also received another $10K penalty from the DGE just two days before, on 16th November, for “multiple regulatory violations.”

The news emerged when the DGE released its bimonthly report of regulatory decisions, and showed SG Digital wasn’t the only operator feeling the heat.

William Hill

William Hill was also given a $26,500 penalty because its New Jersey online sports betting operations allowed 16 self-excluded customers to gamble. The operator was also ordered to forfeit just over $5K won from the self-excluded individuals in question.

iGaming Cloud (GiG Core)

Meanwhile iGaming Cloud, which is now GiG Core, got its fair share of penalties: $7K for failing to prevent self-excluded individuals from opening accounts and wagering, $2K for deploying an unapproved game and another $2K not generating a patron account report for Hard Rock Atlantic City, and losing slot tournament data due to a system crash and not notifying the DGE.

PokerStars

The Stars Group-owned PokerStars also got slapped on the wrist with a $5K penalty after two hours of poker hand history date went missing, software supplier GAN was issued with a negligible $1K penalty for poor website performance.

AYO.NEWS says:

Okay, so they might not be the largest penalties ever, but they are a reminder that the DGE is on the ball and watching operators in the rapidly growing market. And, there are moves afoot to increase the size of the penalties the regulator can dish out, so companies operating in the state should pull their socks up.

STS BETS ON ENTERACTIVE’S HUMAN APPROACH TO IMPROVE PLAYER RETENTION

Published

on

Poland’s biggest betting operator, STS, has partnered with iGaming conversion specialist Enteractive.

STS, which also operates in several other European markets, will use Enteractive’s ‘plug-and-play’ (Re)Activation Cloud® platform to improve player retention rates.

Discussing the partnership STS CEO, Mateusz Juroszek, explained:

“We have found a partner in Enteractive which shares our values in terms of innovation and constant improvement. It is our strategy to lead the way in development in terms of technology that constantly pushes to do things better.

“Partnering up with Enteractive and connecting to its Reactivation Cloud, we have added another vital tool to our CRM department so that we are able to communicate and engage on a large scale with our customers the STS way.”

While Enteractive Founder and CEO, Mikael Hansson, added:

“We are very happy to partner up with STS, a powerhouse in the important Polish market but also an agile and ambitious company with great potential in the rest of the world.

“With STS connected to our (Re)Activation Cloud we have already seen good signs in terms of conversion rates and player reactions which further strengthens our belief that strong brands benefit even more from our qualitative and scalable product. Now we look forward to continuing the ramp up and to lay the foundation to a strong and profitable partnership in the coming months.”

STS: dominating the Polish market

STS Gaming Group boasts an extensive product portfolio including bookmakers, virtual sports, casino, live casino and esports betting. Recently the brand appointed legendary goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel and ski jumper Martin Schmitt as brand ambassadors, powering its “Bet with the leaders” campaign.

The operator currently enjoys a 47% share of the Polish bookmaking market and is the main sponsor of Poland’s national football team, in addition to many other major clubs in the country. In the space of just six years STS has increased its revenue tenfold and is now aiming for international expansion.

Enteractive: combining technology with the human touch

Enteractive says its (Re)Activation Cloud® is the only scalable, proprietary software available on the market which is specifically designed to handle personal one-on-one calls that strengthen customer loyalty.

Interestingly, the Enteractive approach is centred on combining technology with real human interaction – in contrast to the increasing reliance on gamification and automation. The company says this has resulted in a boost to bottom-line P&L and long-term brand loyalty.

The (Re)Activation Cloud® platform plugs directly into clients’ existing CRM systems through seamless API integration, providing real-time, end-to-end transparency. Importantly, all activation methods used are both GDPR and G4 compliant, and data security is maintained at all times.

AYO.NEWS says:

Enteractive’s human-centric approach is refreshingly novel in a world increasingly dominated by automation and AI-based chatbots. While technology obviously has a huge part to play in keeping customers engaged, many would argue that many companies are now over-reliant on it for nuanced tasks like customer service and reactivation – something seemingly reinforced by Enteractive’s reported success.
