POINTSBET MAKES THE TEAM AS CHICAGO BEARS’ 1ST SPORTS BETTING SPONSOR
PointsBet has teamed up with the NFL’s Chicago Bears, as the team’s first ever sports betting sponsor.
The partnership will see PointsBet granted full usage rights for the Bears’ IP, marks, and logos. Bears fans will also be offered a special sign-up code for the PointsBet mobile app, giving them access to special offers.
Commenting on the partnership PointsBet US CEO, Johnny Aitken, said:
“The PointsBet team is incredibly excited to become the first legal sportsbook partner in Chicago Bears history.
“We are teaming up with a first-class organisation, supported by extremely passionate fans.
“Since launching our fast and differentiated mobile sports betting app in Illinois, we’ve been thrilled by the reception from Chicago sports bettors.”
PointsBet recently launched mobile sports betting in Illinois, through a partnership with Hawthorne Race Course. The operator has also entered into a major five-year media partnership with NBC Universal, in a deal with close to $400m USD.
In addition to the Chicago Bears, PointsBet also recently signed a similar deal with the Indianapolis Colts (NFL), and has partnerships with the Detroit Tigers (MLB), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), and Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers (NBA).

With the United States seeing some serious consolidation among the major powers in the form of the now massive Caesars Entertainment (merged with Eldorado Resorts and possibly soon incorporating William Hill), MGM and GVC’s joint venture Roar Digital, and the new Flutter Entertainment (merged with The Stars Group, and including FanDuel), PointsBet is clearly rushing to get as much market share and brand awareness as possible before the real war for US bettors begins.
